Prem's eyes shine as Khyati stands by him against Parag and Moti Baa in Anupamaa
In tonight's episode of Anupamaa, the discussion about a woman's sacrifices after marriage takes centre stage. Anupama highlights how a woman's responsibilities never cease—she transitions from a homemaker to a caregiver for her children, often without personal freedom. She remarks that after marriage, even visiting one's own mother requires permission. Parag, unimpressed, asks Anupama to take her lecture elsewhere.
However, Khyati steps in, supporting Anupama's perspective. She argues that as family members of Prem and Rahi, they should stand by them. Khyati then shares her own experience, revealing that she had to give up her career after marrying Parag. She further discloses that Moti Baa had forbidden her from working, and she deeply regrets letting down her parents, who made countless sacrifices for her education.
Khyati expresses that just as Moti Baa has her own perspective, Rahi, too, has the right to her own beliefs. She points out that if Moti Baa's viewpoint is considered valid, then Rahi's stance should also be respected. Khyati adds that she is proud of Rahi for wanting to balance both her career and relationships. She questions why Rahi is expected to stay at home when there are already servants to handle household chores. Emphasising the importance of growth, she asserts that Prem and Rahi will flourish even more by working together.
Moti Baa interrupts, instructing Khyati to stop speaking, accusing Anupama of influencing her. Parag, defending himself, insists that he has given Khyati everything she could need. In response, Khyati states that even a golden cage is still a cage. She acknowledges that while she has been given everything, true freedom has always been out of reach. She admires Rahi for having the courage to express herself and live life on her own terms. Looking directly at Moti Baa, Khyati asserts that her actions have hurt not only Rahi and Prem but also herself. She points out that while Parag has been trying to win Prem's love, their decisions have only pushed him further away.
Khyati then urges Parag to let Prem make his own choices, questioning what the problem is if he has no interest in the business. Prem's expression reveals a shift in his feelings as he sees Khyati standing up for him. She then challenges Parag by asking if he would be willing to abandon his business and become a caterer instead. Before Parag can respond, Moti Baa interrupts and silences Khyati once again.
At this moment, Meeta steps forward and shares her own struggles. She reveals that her family has a flourishing business, and she had dreams of completing her MBA and contributing to it. However, before she could do so, her father arranged her marriage, unaware of the rigid restrictions within the Kothari household. She questions why her father invested in her education if she was never meant to utilise it, highlighting the stifling environment where even breathing freely feels like a challenge.
Moti Baa commands Anil to stop Meeta, but instead, Anil expresses remorse, apologising to both Meeta and Khyati for failing to understand their struggles. Prem adds that in the Kothari household, it's not just daughters-in-law who are denied freedom, but even daughters face the same restrictions. He highlights that Prarthna had exceptional business skills and could have taken the family business to new heights. However, instead of recognising her potential, she was not allowed to work simply because she was a daughter. Without even considering her wishes, her marriage was arranged, depriving her of the opportunity to pursue her ambitions.
Meanwhile, Pakhi blames Anupama for instigating all the chaos, but Anupama warns her not to interfere. Raja then holds Moti Baa responsible, asserting that Prem and Rahi should have the right to pursue their dreams. Furious, Moti Baa slaps Raja and accuses Anupama of tearing her family apart. Parag joins in, also holding Anupama accountable for the turmoil.
Frustrated with the lack of understanding, Prem and Rahi make the difficult decision to leave the house. Moti Baa pleads with Rahi to convince Prem to stay, reminding her of the promise she made. However, Rahi refuses, stating that she had been eager to learn the responsibilities of a daughter-in-law, but Moti Baa never gave her the opportunity. She acknowledges the importance of family but emphasises that her husband is her top priority. Standing firm in her decision, she expresses her unwavering support for him.
As Prem and Rahi prepare to walk away, Moti Baa delivers an emotional ultimatum, declaring that she will not survive if they leave. Parag, meanwhile, lashes out at Anupama, accusing her of taking his son away and vowing that she will regret her actions. Unfazed, Anupama welcomes Prem and Rahi into the Shah house.
Gautam, however, holds Anupama and Rahi responsible for separating Prem from his family. Anil steps in, warning Gautam not to provoke Moti Baa further. At the same time, Parag expresses his regret over Moti Baa's decision to burn the letter. Anil urges Parag to initiate a conversation and find a way to reconcile with Prem and Rahi, but Parag refuses to give in.
Meanwhile, Pakhi continues to blame Anupama, accusing her of destroying Rahi's home. She even goes as far as to claim that no child deserves a mother like Anupama. However, Leela and Hasmuk stand by Anupama's side. Anupama, in turn, reasons that Pakhi is angry because her dreams involving Ishani and Raja have been shattered.
Prem settles into his new home with Rahi's unwavering support. Toshu and Pakhi question whether he plans to return to the Kothari house, but Anupama defends Prem and Rahi's choice, reinforcing their right to make their own decisions. Meanwhile, Pakhi conspires with Ishani, intending to manipulate the situation and gain favour with the Kotharis.
