It was earlier seen that Anuj had revealed about Malvika's past love to Anupama.

Anuj revealed that Malvika was in love with a guy named Akshay while he was just behind Malvika's money and power and Anuj gave him money to walk out of Malvika's life.

Malvika was aware of the truth and she was upset with Anuj for snatching Akshay from her life.

Post this Anuj finds a rich guy for Malvika and he got her married to him assuming her to be happy in her married life.
